A victim was discovered dead early Friday morning inside of a burning vehicle on the Far South Side in the Roseland neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Officials responded to a call about a vehicle fire shortly after 12:15 a.m. in the 10800 block of South Eggleston Avenue. Firefighters extinguished the fire and an unresponsive victim was discovered inside, police said.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives are conducting a death investigation, police said.
