Gimme the ball, coach.

That’s what a touch-starved Jordan said this week to Norv Turner, who complied–at last. “Those are the runs I’ve been waiting for all year,” Jordan said. Fantasy owners who dropped a second- or third-round pick on you have been waiting too, LaMont. Sure, the Bills’ run defense is pretty weak and a three-score performance from any back is pretty rare, but the Raiders will continue to let the hulking back grind it out.

Boy genius of the Bengals, right? I guess that’s true when you’re beating up on the Vikings, Bears and Titans. Pittsburgh took Palmer down a peg. Or maybe two pegs. After nine straight games with a 100-plus passer rating, he had a 53.8 in a key division game. To add insult to injury, Palmer got trucked by old USC roommate Troy Polamalu as he tried to make a tackle on an INT return. No worries, Palmer will pick it up against the Packers next week.

OK, I know this is a bit harsh–throwing the NFL’s top rusher among the day’s worst, against one of the league’s top rushing defenses at that. But c’mon, a stud like Alexander has to show us something before heading into a week off. No dice. Alexander gained 3 yards or less on 13 of his runs to finish with his worst output of the season. But it could be worse, he does have two four-TD games already. Guess that will have to tide you over until Week 9.
