Reinking here: Dancer-choreographer Ann Reinking will visit next month to create an original work for Melissa Thodos & Dancers.
The as-yet-untitled piece will be unveiled at the troupe’s engagement March 11-14 at the Harold Washington Library.
The collaboration with Reinking–star of stage and screen (“All That Jazz”) and Tony Award-winning choreographer of the celebrated “Chicago” Broadway revival–is a coup for the troupe, a small but widely respected company known for its originality and support of young choreographers.
The engagement will also feature a premiere by Thodos titled “Elements,” featuring members of the Remy Bumppo Theatre Co. and a third premiere by acclaimed choreographer-dancer Paul Christiano titled “First Love; Second Sight.”
