Age 63 of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Glenview & Arlington Heights died on October 10, 2026. Dear son of Joan Murphy and the late Edward Murphy. Proud father of Jared and Allison Murphy. Survived by loving sisters Jennifer Chernak (Mark), Claire Johnson (Bruce). Nephews Kyle Johnson, Matthew Stark (Lauren) and their children and many cousins and friends. He earned a degree in Electronic Engineering, enjoyed sports, fishing, the backyard hammock, the zoo, listening to Paul Simon or watching Spinal Tap with his Mom but also could tell you the geologic ages of the sediment layers in a cliff. He was in awe of George the Buffalo in Yellowstone Park. He spent many Thanksgivings delivering 100 turkeys to homeless families. He will be dearly remembered for his optimistic humor and love of family. Services are private and a Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
