Rose Incandela OBITUARY
Rose “Roe” Incandela, affectionately known as “Roey” to her grandchildren, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2026, in Carlsbad, California, at the age of 98.
A proud Chicago native, Roe spent her many remarkable years building a life centered on the people she loved most. She shared more than 50 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Joseph Incandela Sr. Together, they built a life rich in art, travel, and family, sharing countless adventures with their loved ones, particularly to their beloved Italy. As a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, her family was her greatest joy, and her fierce love and dedication to them never wavered.
Roe was a true force of nature with an indomitable spirit, a quick wit, and a wonderfully feisty personality that stayed with her until the very end. Her strength, determination, and sharp sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to know her. She carried a lifelong love for art and creativity, a passion she delighted in sharing with her grandchildren through countless hands-on arts and crafts projects over the years. She also loved science and learning.
Above all, Roe will be remembered for the deep, unconditional devotion she had for her family and the irreplaceable place she held in their hearts. She is survived by her four children, Cathleen, Rebecca (Billy), Deborah (Scott) Himmel, and Joseph Jr. (Helen); eight grandchildren, Zachary (Julie), Alexander (Tiffany), Chloe, Aaron (Rina), Shayna (Miles), Isabella, Joseph IV, and Nathan; three great-grandchildren, Francesca, Norah, and Kaito; her sister, Lucille Pusateri; and many nieces and nephews. She is reunited in peace with her beloved husband Joseph and grandson Gabriel, who both preceded her in death.
Roe’s 98 years were a beautiful testament to a life fully and deeply lived. As the matriarch of her family, her vibrant, larger-than-life presence will be profoundly missed, but her warmth and spirit will live on forever in the family she cherished.
