Jeffrey I. Byer, age 78, of Skokie. Beloved husband of Bonnie, née Soffe; loving father of Joshua (Gabriel); cherished grandfather of Dillon, Chase, and the late Jacob; devoted son of the late Samuel and Ruth, née Mantell; dear brother of the late Dr. Stuart (Bonnie); fond brother-in-law of Susan Healy; respected uncle of many nieces and nephews; endearing neighbor to many. Interment, at Randhill Park Cemetery, Arlington Heights, is private. A Celebration of Life is planned for a later date.
