Woman hit by CTA bus in Lincoln Park

A woman was hospitalized with serious injuries after she was hit by a Chicago Transit Authority bus in Lincoln Park Sunday night, Chicago police said.

Officers who arrived at the 2500 block of North DuSable Lake Shore Drive found the 40-year-old woman lying in the roadway shortly after 9 p.m., police said. She was taken to Northwestern Hospital, where she remains in critical condition.

The bus driver pulled over at the next exit after crashing into the woman, police said. About seven passengers were aboard the bus when emergency crews arrived, but no other injuries were reported.

No citations have been issued, and the crash remains under investigation, police said.
