player ready...Kyle Pitts, a junior tight end from the University of Florida, became a standout player during the 2020 season. Pitts won the John Mackey Award for the top tight end in college football and earned AP first-team All-American honors. Pitts caught 43 passes for 770 yards and 12 receiving touchdowns in eight games.
NFL analyst Lance Zierlein compares Pitts to Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller. “[Pitts] offers offensive coordinators the ability to align him all over the field and, like Waller, can become a highly targeted, highly productive pass catcher from the tight end position,” Zierlein wrote. “He puts in effort as a blocker but with limited success. That’s not what makes him special. Along with Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence, Pitts has a chance to become biggest game-changer in the 2021 NFL Draft.”
