The Mokena Community Park District is seeking public comments as it develops a comprehensive master plan for the future.

A community meeting will begin at 6 p.m. June 14 in the Walnut Room of the Oaks Recreation and Fitness Center, 10847 W. La Porte Road, to seek input from residents on how the park district can meet the recreational needs of the community over the next several years.

Design Perspectives, Inc. is leading the master plan project with the goal of soliciting public input from different sectors of the community. In addition to the community meeting, a resident survey will be distributed in early July, officials said.

For more information, call the park district at (708) 390-2401.
