White Sox pitcher Jake Petricka had surgery on his right elbow Friday and will resume throwing in approximately 3-4 months.

Petricka underwent a nerve transposition in his elbow and during the procedure, Dr. James Andrews also debrided the flexor tendon in the elbow.

It was a difficult season for Petricka as the 29-year-old had three separate stints on the disabled list and finished with a 1-1 record and 7.01 earned-run average in 27 appearances out of the bullpen.
