A Midlothian man recently told police three masked men wearing latex gloves attacked him inside his apartment and then held him at gunpoint while they robbed him.
The victim said he was inside his home in the 14600 block of Keystone Avenue with a friend on Jan. 19 when the three armed men began “fake punching” the friend, police said. He believes the robbery was a setup, according to reports.
The man said the three punched him in the face and neck, and one hit him in the face with a gun. The robbers stole two video game systems, an iPhone, jewelry and $13,000 from his kitchen table.
He said the money was on the kitchen table because someone had thrown it in the toilet the day before and it needed to dry out. Police noted the table was dry and had loose marijuana residue on top of it.
