After making some guesses about possible Lolla acts based on the Coachella lineup, it’s time to do the same with the just-announced Bonnaroo roster. It may have some clues to what’s in store for Lolla 2016 (July 28-31 at Grant Park) with these major artists who are seemingly available and of interest.

Last time the trio of sisters played Lolla (in 2013), it was the set of the fest. Now with a new album coming at some point and a slot opening for no less than Taylor Swift behind them, Haim could be a killer headliner, or maybe (depending on who else is on the bill) playing right before a headliner that will have a lot to live up to.
Death Cab for Cutie
The band’s doing a ton of summer tours, and right now the schedule stops in mid-July. Certainly seems to leave room for Lolla.
Miguel
He’s gotten huge in the last couple years. This needs to happen.
Macklemore and Ryan Lewis
I know, you might not want this. But the increasingly corny hip-hop duo still would bring in a lot of people and doesn’t have any dates in Chicag on its schedule at the moment.
Sam Hunt
For Lolla’s continued effort to book some country, this would be a pick that a lot of people would go see. He’s busy July 30-31 but could do one of the first two days.
Mavis Staples
The Chicago legend hasn’t played Lolla in years and would be a veteran act many would be really excited to see, whether or not they had before.
Shamir
He played Pitchfork last year; Lolla should want to get in on one of 2015’s breakout artists.
Oh Wonder
The English pop duo plays a sold-out show Thursday at Lincoln Hall. Could definitely see them coming back for a fest slot this summer.
Lucius
The group played in 2014, but a new album is coming soon (and you can’t escape its presence in that Samsung Galaxy commercial) and a return wouldn’t be out of the ordinary.
X Ambassadors
I absolutely hate this band, and Lolla always has one that fits that requirement.
