A 44-year-old Midlothian woman told police she saw a man burglarizing her home when she walked out of the bathroom in her apartment in the 3600 block of West 147th Street about 1:30 p.m. Aug. 5.
The man was stealing items in her bedroom. The woman was able to sneak out of her apartment and began knocking on her neighbors’ doors until she was able to use a phone to call 911.
The woman said her desktop computer, a laptop, tablet, two flat-screen televisions, a video game system and her wallet were stolen. By the time police arrived the thief was gone.
The woman said the thief may have been talking to an accomplice inside the apartment.
