The Lolla schedule is here! Which usually means a lot of grumbling about two bands that you absolutely have to see playing at the same time. How could the fest do this to you??!!
This year, we’re not really feeling that way. Compared with past years, the Lolla 2015 set times don’t have as many shocking/frustrating/dish-smashing-worthy conflicts. Still, there are always a few. Here are the ones we’ll have to think about.

MisterWives (1:30-2:15 p.m. Friday, Lake Shore stage) vs. James Bay (1:30-2:30 p.m. Friday, Palladia stage)
I mean, I know that I’m going to see MisterWives, since the band is incredibly fun and will do a great job of elevating the energy on the fest’s first afternoon. But if I hear all of my favorite songs of theirs early in the set, I may wander over to Bay, a crooner with a solid voice and material that should play well in the festival setting. —M.P.
Jessica Hernandez and the Deltas (Noon-12:45 p.m. Saturday, Lake Shore stage) vs. Mick Jenkins (12:15-1 p.m. Saturday, Palladia stage)
I think JHATD (who played Riot Fest 2014) could be one of the breakouts of the fest, but I’d also like to support local rapper Jenkins, who’s one of the few recommendable hip-hop artists on the bill. Hmm. —M.P.
Sturgill Simpson (2:45-3:45 p.m. Saturday, Bud Light stage) vs. Charli XCX (3-4 p.m. Saturday, Lake Shore stage)
While this conflict is completely understandable as the Venn diagram of classic country aficionados and candy-coated pop fans is likely very, very slim, these two are nonetheless some of the most exciting artists in their respective fields. —J.T.
Death From Above 1979 (4-5 p.m. Saturday, Samsung stage) vs. White Sea (4:30-5:10 p.m. Saturday, BMI stage)
I’m a huge fan of Death From Above, especially its first album, “You’re a Woman, I’m a Machine.” But White Sea has the kind of voice that can stop people in their tracks, and performances like that can be special, too. Will probably leave DFA a little early to see most of White Sea. —M.P.
Shakey Graves (1:45-2:45 p.m. Sunday, Palladia stage) vs. Twin Peaks (1:30-2:30 p.m. Sunday, Lake Shore stage)
This Sunday afternoon decision probably is going to boil down to the severity of your festival hangover. Had enough of the noise? Go for the rustic and soothing sounds of Shakey Graves. Still ready to party? See Chicago youngsters Twin Peaks. —J.T.
