An Alsip man faces criminal charges after storming into an Orland Park banking center and cursing at and threatening to kill employees who handle foreclosures, according to police.
Larry Brandt, 47, 5123 W. 119th St., Alsip, is charged with assault, disorderly conduct and driving on a suspended license after he entered the Marquette Bank Lending Center, 15959 S. 108th Ave., on Feb. 28 and scared employees who were working there, police said.
One of the victims said the loan center is closed on the weekend, but a few employees were at work that day for meetings and accidentally left the door unlocked.
The woman told police that Brandt came into her office demanding to know the whereabouts of three employees who do not work at the center but are employed by the foreclosures department of Marquette Bank.
Brandt was loudly cursing and demanded the addresses of the three employees, allegedly threatening to “find out what cars” the center employees drive and take out every (expletive) here,” police reported.
Brandt referred to one of the foreclosure employees by a racial slur, the woman said, and knocked pamphlets and calendars off the counter as he left.
Alsip police arrested Brandt outside of a 7-Eleven in Palos Heights later that day. He has been warned to stay away from all Marquette Bank property while his case is pending, Orland Park police said.
