A Midlothian woman has been accused of stealing more than $1,800 from a discount tool store in Tinley Park where she worked as a cashier, according to Tinley Park police.

Shannon Wright, 28, 14652 Linder Ave., was charged with felony theft after her employer showed police records that indicated that she conducted at least 10 phony transactions between Oct. 22 and Dec. 19 at Harbor Freight Tools, 7520 W. 159th St., police reported.

They said four of the 10 documented transactions involved Wright giving her boyfriend, Troy Corsi, at total of $800 from the cash register.

Police arrested Corsi, 33, 14328 Lavergne Ave., Crestwood, when he came to the police station to bail out Wright on Jan. 8. Wright was also charged with unlawful possession of a prescription painkiller.

Police said they’re also investigating several thousand dollars in other suspicious transactions at Harbor Freight that occurred during the same time period.
