Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Every week, former Bears fullback Jason McKie tackles four true-false questions facing the team—some serious, some far from it.

FIRST DOWN

The NFL should let players celebrate touchdowns however they’d like.

False

Certain things, like back in the day when guys would make a throat-slashing gesture or when guys would act like they had guns or were shooting each other, those celebrations I feel should be banned. But as far as Jimmy Graham dunking on the goal post and things like that, I don’t see a problem with those.

SECOND DOWN

The Bears need a new defensive coordinator.

False

That’s tough. [Defensive coordinator Mel Tucker] showed some good things in two games with the Jets and San Francisco. They showed some signs of being able to get turnovers and make big plays at key times. Then you see a defense we saw against Buffalo, a defense that we saw against Green Bay. Right now it’s like you don’t know what defense is gonna show up. I’m gonna say let’s give him the rest of this season.

THIRD DOWN

Marc Trestman needs to show more emotion.

False

Marc Trestman just needs to be who he is, a Bears coach that can continually bring a consistent product on the football field.

FOURTH DOWN

Brandon Marshall owes it to the fans to speak after every game.

False

I feel like a player doesn’t owe anybody anything. The only thing he owes the Bears organization is to play well, for what they paid him. Does he owe it to the fans to speak after the game? I’m gonna say no, but he’s one of the key figures on the team so it’s not gonna hurt if he does speak out.
