Regan Flynn initially ignored the audition notice for CMT’s “Ultimate Coyote Ugly Search.”
At the time, Flynn, 27, had already spent 2 1/2 years waiting tables and trying to land acting jobs.
“I saw the casting notice a lot,” Flynn said. “I was like, singing and dancing, I can do all of those things. But I wasn’t sure I wanted to audition for reality TV. I just kind of tossed the opportunity aside several times.”

When audition day came, however, she went to the open casting call. Good thing. Flynn, whose background includes a hip-hop video and dancing for soccer’s New York Red Bulls, soon found herself with New York Coyote Ugly bartender Maria Hurdle as a team on the new season of CMT’s “Ultimate Coyote Ugly Search,” launching at 7 p.m. Friday.
Despite the hard work that went into the production, Flynn and Hurdle are hoping they’ll be able to further their entertainment careers.
“I want an agent. I already feel like doors are opening; I think I’m going to meet a lot of new people,” Flynn said.
“We’re going to take complete advantage of this opportunity,” Hurdle added. “Hopefully, my [acting] career will take off, but I’ll always be a Coyote.”
