Treasure: Drew Brees

Take that, Big Tuna. Texas native Brees returned to his home state to take on the Cowboys, who were rolling behind the Tony Romo show. Not anymore. First-year Saints coach Sean Payton got a monster game from his quarterback to take down former mentor Bill Parcells 42-17. Brees was simply dealing, throwing for 384 yards with a career-high-tying five TDs to four different receivers–all without throwing a fourth-quarter pass. Expect more success against weakling Washington next week.

Off course: Tom Brady

Face it, Tom. The Dolphins are your daddy. Jason Taylor and Co. bring out the absolute worst in Brady. This time around, in a rare shutout loss, the Patriots QB was 12 of 25 for 78 yards and a fumble–and he saved it for the opening round of your fantasy playoffs. He probably didn’t lose you points, but he sure didn’t help (I got a big goose egg and first-round ouster). Brady’s erratic play has been frustrating this season, but he’ll bounce back in a big way against Houston next week.

Shipwreck: Cadillac Williams

OK, Cadillac. Enough is enough. We’ve waited and waited, and still you give us nothing. That one measly touchdown you scored this season? That was way back in Week 3. The Buccaneers running back, who has cracked the 100-yard mark just twice this season, was good for 48 yards on 20 carries Sunday and fumbled for the second time in as many weeks to set up a late Falcons field goal. “Right now, I’m kind of disgusted,” Williams said. We know how you feel.
