This should be interesting. WLS-Ch. 7 reporter Dan Ponce sits in for Monday’s “Critic for a Day” segment on WTTW-Ch. 11’s “Chicago Tonight,” which is hosted by his dad, Phil Ponce. The movie? “Running With Scissors,” which happens to be about a dysfunctional family. “Maybe Dan and I can put a little bit of `fun’ in dysfunctional,” the elder Ponce told us on Friday.
By the way, we wondered whether pop caught his kid getting licked on the face during a live report from Lollapalooza this summer. The video can still be found on YouTube.com. “I just told him, `Dan, you took a licking but you kept on ticking,'” Ponce said. “I thought he handled it well.”
