Those making a difference

The Ray Graham Association for People with Disabilities is the recipient of a grant from the DuPage County Community Development Commission, under the Housing Development Fund Program. The money will be used for renovations at the Iona Glos Specialized Living Center in Addison, which is home to 100 people with disabilities, and the Bensenville Community Integrated Living Arrangement, home to six people with disabilities.

This year’s Naperville Area Humane Society “Putts for Pets” golf outing raised $40,000 for the society. All proceeds from the fundraiser support the society’s programs and services.

The Diveheart Foundation of Downers Grove recently received a $650 donation from the Downers Grove Junior Woman’s Club. The money was raised at the Heritage Festival Craft Show and Kids Corner last month. Diveheart provides support and educational scuba diving and snorkeling programs for the physically impaired.
