The Joffrey Ballet is altering the content of next spring’s repertory program set to run April 25-May 6 at the Auditorium Theatre.
The troupe is replacing the originally scheduled founders’ lineup of works by Gerald Arpino and Robert Joffrey with a different collection: Arpino’s “Light Rain” and “Valentine,” Joanna Haigood’s “Dance for Yal,” Moses Pendleton and Cynthia Quinn’s “White Widow,” the Pilobolus effort “Untitled” and David Parsons’ “Caught.” The company said the idea was to showcase the troupe’s contemporary side.

The move comes after “Cool Vibrations,” the troupe’s recent engagement featuring Twyla Tharp’s “Deuce Coupe” to the Beach Boys and a Laura Dean dance to Prince, set new attendance and box office records for mixed repertory offerings by the company.
