The Institute for Entrepreneurship, which helps students between the ages of 8 and 18 start businesses, has received a $75,000 grant from the Staples Foundation for Learning Inc.
The money will support the Youth Venture Grant Program, a competition where students submit business plans to win start-up money for their firms. Business people judge the plans and offer advice on how to move forward with the businesses.
Winners are paired with business leaders, who serve as mentors. For more information on the program, visit www.theeplace.org.
