St. Francis volleyball coach Peg Kopec has a chance to record her 800th victory this weekend at Maine West’s Pumpkin tournament. Her Spartans are seeded first in the 24-team tournament and should add to her 796-191-2 record–at least those are the numbers according to the IHSA. Kopec, whose No. 3-ranked team is 25-3 this season, isn’t sure.

No. 6 Barrington is seeded second, No. 5 Downers Grove South is seeded third and Belleville West fourth. Saturday’s final should start at approximately 3 p.m.

No. 4 Mother McAuley is the top seed at Glenbard East’s 24-team Autumnfest. No. 2 Joliet Catholic is seeded second, Normal third and No. 8 St. Charles East fourth.
