Heavy rain postponed all six Illinois High School Association supersectional contests in baseball and softball Tuesday.
Baseball supersectionals at Northwestern University in Evanston and Alexian Field in Schaumburg that were suspended Monday are now scheduled to resume Wednesday afternoon. Glenbard West and New Trier were tied 1-1 after three innings at Northwestern, while Schaumburg and Mundelein were also tied 1-1 in the fourth inning at Alexian.
Four softball supersectionals were also washed out, including the Public League championship game between Lane Tech and Washington at Illinois-Chicago. Softball supersectionals at Barrington (McHenry vs. Fremd), Larkin (Elk Grove vs. Oak Park) and Rockford East (Freeport vs. Geneseo Darnall) were postponed as well.
