Director Ron Mann will present “Grass,” an irreverent history of the government’s war on marijuana, in person on Thursday at City North 14 Theater, as a fundraiser for the Chicago International Film Festival. The documentary, narrated by Woody Harrelson, serves as successor of sorts to the U.S. government’s notorious anti-pot propaganda film, “Reefer Madness.”

Mann will answer questions and introduce the film at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 for Cinema/Chicago members and $15 for the general public and can be purchased by calling 312-425-9400 ext. 102, or a ticket order form can be accessed at www.chicagofilmfestival.com.

“Grass” is presented by the Associate Board of the 38th Chicago International Film Festival and Home Vision Entertainment.
