West Dundee has filled the new position of finance director.

David Danielson, 47, of Woodstock accepted the job, which opened up when Kelly Kline, assistant to the village manager for financial services, resigned in June to become finance director for Carpentersville. Danielson will be paid $85,000 a year.

For the past two years Danielson was an investment broker and financial consultant for A.G. Edwards and Sons in Woodstock. Before that, he was finance director for Woodstock for nearly 17 years. He also was assistant to the city administrator and assistant community development director for Rockford from 1977 to 1983.
