The lot will include 28 spaces and will help ease parking congestion in the downtown area when work begins on the parking deck at Curtiss and Washington Streets, Mayor Brian Krajewski said.
The site where the five-story parking deck is proposed has about 200 parking spaces. Construction of the deck–which would hold about 800 cars–is pending land acquisitions, but village officials hope to start the project in February.
