A DuPage County grand jury has indicted two former Naperville North High School students on a second charge of burglary.

Dinh Vo, 17, of the 400 block of East School Street, and Justin M. Lea, 17, of the 5 S 600 block of Mockingbird Court, had already been charged with criminal damage to property and one count of burglary in connection with a November incident in which the Naperville high school was vandalized.

Police allege that the two, along with a 16-year-old St. Charles youth, climbed to the second-floor roof, broke a window and entered the school. Once inside, they smashed furniture and computers and splattered paint balls at carpeting, walls and furniture in the library and student activities office, and at a wall mural depicting the school’s Huskie mascot.

Attorneys for the teens had earlier told DuPage Judge Ann Jorgensen that they were close to reaching a plea agreement on the original charges, but the additional indictment, announced Monday will require them to reconsider the case.

Both teens have been expelled from the school.
