We found some great design deals just in the nick of time for the valentine-challenged:
In the virtual world, every item is a deal at www.bluefly.com. The Web site offers designer housewares at discount prices. We loved the 46 percent off Designers Guild pillowcases ($24.95, down from the $46 retail price) and Sandy Chilewich’s bowls of brightly colored mesh tulle ($24.95, less than we have seen in stores). At www.silverplum.com, choose from fine home accessories such as the Mayfly Bedside decanter and glass hand engraved for Artel ($145).
In the real world, Tabula Tua on Armitage Avenue is having a one-day sale on Feb. 5, with selected offerings at 40 percent off.
