Tickets for Garth Brooks’ Oct. 24 concert at the Rosemont Horizon go on sale Saturday, but fans will have to jump through hoops to get them.
At 9 a.m. this past Wednesday, US99 promotions director Steve Lee says he got a call from Brooks’ promoter, asking the station to announce at noon that ticket buyers should go immediately to the Horizon box office or Ticketmaster outlets to obtain numbered wristbands. Wristband holders are to return to the outlets at 8:30 a.m. Saturday when a random number will be drawn to determine the first in line. There is a six-ticket limit– cash only.
Wristbands will be given out through Friday if supplies remain. Those without wristbands can line up behind the rest Saturday morning, or try calling Ticketmaster beginning at 10 a.m. But Brooks’ fans left out in the cold needn’t lose heart–the country superstar is expected to play as many as three shows.
