Something had to give.

With four teams tied for the SICA West lead–and two of them going head-to-head Friday night–the deadlock had to break.

And it did, with Lincoln-Way edging Sandburg 46-44 in a thrilling contest in Orland Park and Andrew hammering Stagg 57-30 in a major upset in Tinley Park.

Winston Taylor’s jumper with three seconds left proved the difference in Lincoln-Way’s victory, lifting the Knights to 13-6 overall and 5-2 in the SICA West. Sandburg fell to 12-8, 4-3. Ryan White led Lincoln-Way with 17 points and Ryan Rothrock added 14. Zak Kustok’s 18 led Sandburg.
