Question: I need new clubs but I’m not sure what fits my swing the best. Can you help me out?
Glen Zagorski, assistant pro and club fitter, Westgate Valley Country Club, Palos Heights, answers: If you don’t know what you want, find a pro or someone who fits clubs. They can fit the grips and the length of your clubs to the size of your hands and your height. They can also adjust the club so that it fits your swing. For instance, if you swing hard, they might recommend a stiff shaft, or if you swing easy, it would be a flexible shaft. They can also adjust the loft of the club–lessen the degrees to help a slice or increase the degrees to help a hook. Buying custom clubs allows you to change the clubs easier if your swings changes over time.
