Bridging the Gap (Reprise) (STAR)
It seems that no amount of public indifference to Roger`s mastery of the vocoder is going to get him to abandon the voice-distorting gadget. Since scoring a hit 10 years ago with ”More Bounce to the Ounce,” while fronting the funk band Zapp, Roger`s devotion to the same gimmick has given him a body of work that ranges from the silly to the annoying. A smooth R & B tenor, he`s not a bad vocalist in his own right. There are several tracks where he uses his natural voice for the leads, and only the chorus is distorted. But that still is too much of a bad thing. It`s time for Roger to make a clean break and end this disastrous relationship.
