Al B. Sure!

Private Times . . . And the Whole 9! (Warner)

Composed primarily of soaring synth-based ballads, Sure`s second album fairly drips with romantic longing as he sighs, moans and occasionally even sings his way through such heart-melters as ”Touch You,” ”Just for the Moment,” ”So Special” and ”No Matter What You Do.” The up-tempo dance mixes, however, don`t fare so well. Only the funky ”Channel J.” manages to generate the same high level of emotion on the slower numbers.
