Mr. Lee

Get Busy (Jive) (STAR)(STAR)(STAR)

Mr. Lee, a local club deejay, is the sole writer, arranger and producer of this collection of furious house jams. The Chicago sound is evident from the outset as he rips the lid off with cuts such as ”Get Busy,” ”Pump That Body” and ”Make It Funky.” Lee`s rapping style doesn`t quite match the sonic intensity of his mixes, but is quite serviceable. More important, he knows when to shut up and let his turntables do the talking.
