Dame Agatha Christie introduces the occult in ”Mystery of the Blue Jar” at 9 p.m. on WTTW-Ch. 11. A young man who lives in a cottage beside a golf course hears a girl cry for help at precisely 7:25 each morning. The problem: Nobody else hears her.
This is the second of six Christie evenings on ”Mystery,” a series featuring fluffier-than-usual outings from the British crime queen. Comedy and romance are in the air. This week`s puzzler involves Robin Kermode as the perturbed person. He seeks help from mysterious Dr. Lavington (Michael Aldridge, who played Orlov in ”Reilly: Ace of Spies” and Sir Abraham Haphazard in ”Barchester Chronicles”).
It is, some might say, a haunting tale.
